At San Domenico Golf, we are putting on the final touches to host the 75ª edition of the National Open Championship, 27 - 30 November. This is the tenth tournament of the Italian Pro Tour, the circuit organized by the Professional Open Organizing Committee of the Italian Golf Federation.
The second oldest tournament in Italy, and the second most important after the Italian Open, will be after the traditional Pro Am on Wednesday, 26 November
The Open's primary sponsor is Continental, a leading manufacturer of tires and automotive parts.
The tournament will include 78 competitors, including six amateurs, and will cover 72 holes. The first first cut will be after hole 36, after which only the top 40 players, players tied in the top 40, and amateurs with qualifying scores will continue on to the two final rounds
The prizes amount to ¤50,000, of which ¤7,250 will go to the winner. During the tournament, the public may enter free of charge.
The Pro Am will include 30 teams composed of one professional and three amateur players.
Teams will play 18 holes using the "Net aggregate team score in relation to par" and "use your Pro" formula; for the rankings, only birdies, eagles, and the rare albatrosses will be counted.
